Assist will be gone along with migrate and connect. The final soak test has begun.

Re: moto g3 got marshmallow ..

Time frame for the general release will vary, depending on the results of soak tests... public release could start as early as next monday, or might not be for a month yet, but I don't expect anything this week. If Motorola holds to history with the G-series updates, it often releases in Brazil first, then slowly fans out from there although this isn't the case every time.

Re: Android 6.0

There are soak tests running in India and Brazil for different Moto phones, including the G 2015. The official update is round the corner and most likely you'll get it in the next weeks. Patience :)

Re: Android 6.0

I am not sure why your worried about it... you will get, Motorola has said the Moto G 2nd and 3rd gen will get it. Better than other lot of phones out there, more people will never see Marshmallow on their current device than people who will. Have patience, they will release it when it is ready, there is a reason there has been 3 soak tests so far, do you want them to release a broken ROM? I thought not... when it is tested and ready, they will release it.

There are many websites saying they have the release date then posting info about the phone.

It's true; no one really knows what's happening for sure.

Several X Play owners in Brazil are reporting they've got the 6.0 update already. Didn't see any about the Moto G though.

I find it funny that HTC can roll out Sense within 15 days, Samsung with Touchwiz within a few months (and that's heavily skinned) yet Motorola takes months to get an update out when it's nearly stock Android with a few added things. Honestly ridiculous.

I'm not sure if I understand what exactly you consider so ridiculous. And even less why you should say such a thing. There are different Moto models already running Marshmallow and the Moto G is at the very last stage of soak tests or even at the beginning of the official OTA update. Not sure how many budget phones (or of any kind) are at the same stage.

Re: Android 6.0

What I mean is how quickly HTC gets updates out to the M8, M9 and A9 whereas moto takes a relatively long time in comparison. Not as long as *ahem* Samsung

Re: Android 6.0

This is why I wish I chose another provider.
Had the same issue with BlackBerry updates; had to basically do them all myself.
