Verizon G6 9.0 Pie Update Live

I see Verizon has the 9.0 update for the G6 posted on their website dated 06-06-19. Not available for my son's phone unlocked G6 purchased at BestBuy though, anyone else got it yet?

I'm not so sure I'm overly eager to put Pie on my wife's G6. Things seem to be fairly stable right now.

We don't need issues with volume, Bluetooth, etc.

As long as it's taken to arrive you'd *think* any bugs would be quashed but, who knows? I've had zero issues on my Z3.

Did they release it and then pull it? My Verizon edition Moto g6 is still stuck on the March 2019 security update.

I think Verizon did release the update and then pull it. If you google PDS29.118-14 you can bring up a cached Verizon page about the Android 9.0 release. There must have been problems.

Yep, that's what I see. I have no problem with it as long as the actual release is polished & bug free. They've certainly taken more than ample time to achieve that.

One thing I noticed and could be a coincidence but I no longer show 4G LTE, just LTE. I called Verizon and they said they just updated to 5G in my area and my phone will no longer show 4G.

I was at a friend's who has a Samsung phone and his still shows 4G LTE.

Verizon lying to me?
