How can I get a better signal

I have Verizon prepaid and sometimes have a good signal and sometimes not. Voice calls are practically nonexistent tho. Is there any way to improve my signal?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have a case on the phone? Some cases can interfere with signal (especially if there's any metal in the case).

If your area has poor signal, there's not much you can do about that, besides look for a different carrier. If your home has a poor signal, you can ask Verizon about a signal booster or microcell at home, but you'd probably have to pay for it.
