My Moto G4 Plus received the official 8.1 update yesterday evening along with the 1st Dec 2018 security patch.
Region India.
I have not faced any problems following the update.

Just now got the 8.1 update in the USA.

My Moto G4 Plus received an update today to fix the low audio output (which G4 Plus users were facing after the 8.1 update).
The issue seems to have been fixed on my G4 Plus now.
