My Motorola Moto G4 has a blinking LED for 1 hour?! Tell me why!

[I just wanna know why]

You see, my moto g4 ran completely out of battery and i put it in charge. I left it and normally it would have an LED light blinking twice, right? But it was one whole hour or 2 i left it charge and it still kept blinking. U unplugged it to see if it was a new update where it's only the LED. It didn't turn on........
