Can't set a ring tone.

Hi I have a Moto G4 running Android 7.0.

I recently replaced the micro SD card in the phone and set the new one to be used as internal storage. I then copied my music on to the new card and went into settings to set one of the tracks as my ringtone. On doing this the default directory listed refers to my old sd card and navigating back through the folder hierarchy with the back button just reveals empty folders.
Any ideas how to get it to point to the music folder on the phone.
