Thinking seriously of getting the Moto G5 - until I realized that the phone body is almost identical in size to my LG G4 despite going down from 5.5" screen to 5.2" screen. I guess that's one of the things you give up going from flagship to mid-range. I am fine going to a smaller screen if it means the phone itself is also smaller, but a smaller screen in the same sized body ... ?

Curious if anyone else has gone from LG G4 to Moto G5 and whether this was easy to get used to. The Moto does look like it has more rounded corners so maybe it will feel better in the hand & be easier to use despite being the same size.

I had an LG G4 until last Thursday. I picked up the Moto G5 Plus, and it feels like I didn't skip a beat. In fact, I like the G5 Plus a whole lot more than the G4. Nice screen, vibrant colors, battery life that lasts all day...it's a joy to use.

I recommend the 4 GB RAM/64 GB memory version; even if you never use it all, it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Oh yeah - I'm not even considering the 32 GB model. If that version had 3GB RAM, then maybe but not with only 2GB RAM.

Great to hear you are enjoying it!

I went from the LG G4 to the Moto G5 Plus Amazon edition after my G4 started having hardware issues.

The Moto is far superior in speed, and I love the fingerprint scanner, particularly how it can replace the on-screen navigation buttons. But overall it's much faster--I have the 4GB version.

I too ended up getting the Moto G5 soon after posting this thread completely agree about the performance of the Moto. I'm constantly amazed how smooth and slick it runs, and all the while just sipping on battery!

Yes, battery is also an improvement. I went over two days recently and had over 40% left. Obviously I wasn't watching videos or playing games, but I was using the phone for a number of things.
