    I have a Moto G5 plus. I noticed that when I face the phone into an iPad and look at the main (rear) camera via the iPad lense I can see two lights that are continually blinking on and off. This is however not visible to the eye, even in a pitch black room. I've tried the several times on several occasions and these lights are definitely there, blinking on and off at a fast rate, but only visible through another devices camera... Anyone have any idea what they are?

    Infra-red focussing perhaps?

    Welcome to Android Central! Is the phone's camera on when you do this? If so, it's the laser autofocus. See this video:
