Access settings in Moto G5 camera app?

Getting to know my new Moto G5 euro dual sim phone with Android v7, which has most recent updates from Moto support site. Camera app is ver 6.2.5.12.

Decided to try the setting in the camera that triggers a photo capture when touched anywhere on the screen. Now I want to turn that the heck OFF, and the settings icon is nowhere to be seen.

Anybody know what the magic door to the cam settings is? It's making me a little crazy. Otherwise like the phone.

Open the camera app, swipe in from the left edge and see if the settings icon is there.
