Moto G5s plus navigation buttons not working.

I have an issue with the Navigation buttons. They stopped working all of a sudden. But touch at that location works fine. Checked out by switching on one-button Navigation.
When I turn it off again they won't work.

Remove the navigation icons from the screen and try to use the mobile from the sensor. Sliding left on the sensor will be "back arrow key" and sliding right will be the task manager and just click on the sensor will be the home button.
