Projector mod battery/power hand-off?

I saw with the latest update to the projector mod that when the mod is being used and is plugged in and reaches 100% charge, it will start to charge the phone. But is the opposite scenario true where if the mod looses power, the phone will then begin to supply power to it? I didn't think this was the case till my projector tonight went from 52% battery to 5% immediately, then marched down to 0% after about 5 minutes or so and KEPT PROJECTING WHILE AT 0% until I turned if off (a couple more minutes)!!!

I wonder if it was a battery reporting malfunction since it went from 50%-5% so quick? Or was it really not at 50% but then caught up with itself and jumped to the correct 5%? It was just weird seeing the mod at 0% and still running.

I would think it would run off phone juice once it is out of power, much like the jbl speaker mod, but I can't say for sure.

Yeah, the mods are generally set up to run off their own power first, but then keep working off the phone's power.
