What variant/network were you running it on and how's the call quality that you can tell so far (unless you haven't called anyone with it yet)? People still use these devices as phones, right?
    I've got an AT&T one.

    Seems fine.

    Phil:

    1) How is the white balance on the phone? Are the whites really white? The Galaxy Nexus has a yellowish hue and I've read that the X has a pink
    2) How much storage does the OS, etc. consume?
    3) How is the video recording? And does it have image stabilization?

Thanks for the early preview with answers!

Hey Phil, as a guy who's been sitting in an upgrade for months and is going to be careful with my next phone because it'll probably mean going to shared data on VZW (yes I just threw up a bit typing that) I wanted to thank you for taking questions. It really helps a lot of us!

On the X, I have read that they added a second LTE antenna. Was that covered in the event at all?

I know we don't know what format the X will be available on VZW or when, but what are your thoughts about the X vs the DROID Maxx? If stability and battery life are concerns do you think the HTC One is also a solid choice on VZW this fall?

Sorry for long post, thanks again!

Why not just spend 600 dollars and keep your unlimited data. I know that triples the cost of your next phone up front, but it is not likely that you will use the same or less data as time passes.

I got to say if the sim free unlocked version is around $600. Then I don't people will really be jumping on this device. They minus well wait on the Nexus 5 or another phone they really want. Boo Motorola and Google for that choice. It doesn't have 1080 screen and at this point it should be 32gb base and 64gb.

Just can't drop that kind of cash up front. My plan won't change too much with 10gb of shared data and my wife's data usage is easily measured in MB. Besides today I know I am unlimited so I don't bother trying to conserve. Kind of passive aggressive behavior on my part I guess. I can easily wait to download stuff until I am on wifi and use my work wifi more etc.

That being said if the X was $300 off contract I would have considered it. But then my wife wants next iPhone so shared data is coming one way or another.

Folks need to stop expecting every phone to be priced like a Nexus. It's an aberration.

Do you think that the display on the X is better then my current Nexus 4? And I mean colour reproduction. In your limited use, has battery held up better then average?(did you see rapid percentage drops?) And finally are you finding always on Now working 99 percent of the time or is it like a Samsung gimmick?

The front looks a lot like Nexus 4.
Is it easier to hold and manage?
It's only a few mm narrower...
