    Lol @ this thread
    CPU
0: android os (floating point, random seed, threading)
1: current apps (floating point, basic flops)

    GPU:
    2: touchrender (touch calculations)
3: vector (drawing, sizing, and coloring infinite resolution)
    4: vsync (vertical/horizontal refresh calibration)
5: raster (drawing, and coloring defined resolution)

    Beowulf parallel:
6: voice commands ("OK, Google now...", tts)
7: active notifications (Duh) -- The contextual computing processor handles the sensors, display and touch interaction, but it also appears to function as the primary processor when the phone is in standby mode, including showing status and notification information on the display.
Adding to these points(Highlighted in red above). this is how S4 will probably use the cores

    CPU
0: android os (floating point, random seed, threading)
1: current apps (floating point, basic flops)
2: 99% of app DONT USE IT, Android OS DONT USE IT either.
3: 99% of app DONT USE IT, Android OS DONT USE IT either.

GPU probably same but X has the two extra parallel cores

its funny, all benchmark apps use those 2 additional cores(Core 2 & 3)

well something sure is using those extra cores..at least according to cpu-z..

I waited for the x to get released....was all excited about moto releasing a new phone that would finally be a monster, a powerhouse....then the specs on it came out...I got my S4 just a couple of weeks ago..still not a big fan of Samsung phones...but tired of moto making phones only to come out with a better one a few months later..make one good phone..thats all they had to do...I don't use the voice stuff on any phone.what I want is a phone that will have the power to do what I need to do, not get all laggy..so far the S4 has done that.

I wish there was something else I could tell you to convince you otherwise, but it doesn't even seem like you want to read your own thread. It's a shame too; you're missing out on a great phone because you're enthralled with benchmarks instead of practical performance.

That's okay. The S4 is a fine device and I'm sure the next phone that comes out and bests it in Quadrant will be plenty worthy of an upgrade.

Just go put one in your hand. This phone does something that not too many other phones do. In not taking touchless controls our active notifications either. In talking functionality. This phone works and well at that. Hour many wood have you seen that say known issues does not work well with stock android? I know a few that day known issues with scene and touchwiz. this phone functions the way Google intended the software to function. Do you really think that Google would have let Motorola (a Google company) pot a duel core processor in their phone with out completely thinking it threw? No. They know what they are doing and they are trying to make a statement. Your s4 might need all that power touchwiz is a very heavy skin
