No filters on either. No flash, I can't remember if HDR was on.

Re: Post pictures taken with Motorola X here

I don't mind post-processing. I am a tinkerer and always edit my photos before I upload them for my family/friends to see.
Could someone post a comparison of a unedited Moto X shot and then how they are able to adjust the saturation to make it look good quality/rich but realistic? Preferably noting what 3rd party App was used to adjust the coloration.

If I am able to edit the photos to make them look richer (but realistic) then maybe I will snag this phone after all. I just want to be sure.

Re: Post pictures taken with Motorola X here

I dont know how to upload pics but the photos that I have taken and post processed using the built in editor and curves have come out quite nicely. I have even taken side by side photos with my iPhone5 and the overall look is better with the MotoX. I just took one pic inside under kitchen light, one in bright sunlight, and one in shade and all 3 from the MotoX looked better. I know some of you will call foul but IMHO they looked better. I was about to switch back to the iPhone5 until I discovered the editor and now I know that I am keeping the Moto, it will just bet better with updates etc. This phone is a keeper.

The pics can turn out fantastic when taken outdoors in bright sunlight.

Yea, that photo looks very good. The others, though - looks like there is some problem with automatic white balance on this phone...

Re: Post pictures taken with Motorola X here

I agree - all moto x pics seem muted - I like the device but not so much the camera.

Re: Post pictures taken with Motorola X here

I have to use my camera for random pics of the trucks we build, to send to customers.

This is in SUPER bright light.

This is under a canopy roof, so low light.

This is a pic I took this morning with the sun coming up.

All in all I'm tired of hearing people complain about the camera. It's good enough for me, as using my phone goes. If you want a top quality pic, then go get a nice SLR camera! That's what I do. It's that simple....
