Location settings for Touchless control?

Which location settings do I need to have turned on to use touchless control, the location option in "google settings" or the location access in the "location access" option in settings?

i dont want or need any location settings while browsing or anything, just for when I need directions while I am driving from a location I am at, at the moment.

the location option in "google settings" -- used for all google apps including maps/navigation- so dont turn this off
the location access in the "location access" option in settings -- used for non google apps

if your concern is about web browning then you dont have to worry about any of this settings and let it be ON because browser will prompt for location access where you can allow or deny access.
