I really do like this phone a lot! If Motorola makes a Moto X 2, what 5 features or improvements would you like to see?

    1920x1080+ display
UHS-1 microSD support would always be nice (however unlikely).
    Kevlar option
    Aluminum option
Great camera with excellent low-light ability
Stock (and I mean Stock) Android 4.4+

1- Ability to change the touchless control to something other than "Ok google now".
2- Better camera software. I'm using Cymera as my camera app now, instead of the stock one.
3- better battery life without increasing size or weight. I really like the size and feel of this phone the way it is.
4- Much better call quality and speaker phone.
5- Major improvements on "Touchless control" speed, accuracy and functions. If they are able to do that I think the iPhone will be in real trouble if not finished.

I think they can do it.

Out of curiosity, why would you want to get rid of touchless controls and active notification? Most people say active notifications is something they never want to be without again. Or would you rather have it baked into the OS?

I'd like them to be options baked into the OS.

Then that is something that Google will have to do. I guess it will be nexus for you until then, unless you're on Verizon.

Actually I think having the active notification and touchless being in app form is much more convenient for the user.. They said they wanna be able to update it without waiting for a system update.. Which sounds to me like a good idea.. No waiting on the carrier..

    1. Which would probably mean LCD. See DROID MINI.
    2. I hope we won't need a new phone to get features like that.

I hope we get at least 10 months from the original X launch date before the sequel/follow-up is released.

We'll probably get a Snapdragon 800, a year later (lol SPECS!), maybe 3GB of RAM, and 32GB as the minimum available storage.

    I hope we don't get a 1080 4.7" screen. I feel it's a waste.

It definitely does NOT need more cores, moto more or less proved that two is plenty.

But it could use 3gig of main memory for apps because every one of them is getting bloated.

I'm sorry. I must have missed the FAQ about not having an on opinion.

First of all, the Droid maxx is an ugly phone. Who would not have a better battery life? I have been able to get about 16 hours of good usage. If you forget to charge it, your screwed. On my Pre 2, I was able to set how often motivations were pushed and pulled.

Second, setting this phone in day light is not the best experience. I honestly don't care about the whole LCD vs amoled. What's the point about having a beautiful screen if you cannot see it while out side?

Third, I loved my Touchstone for my Pre 2 and Touchpad. It was a great feature. If you never used it, then I suggest you try it. It was such a great feature. Not just the charging but the exhibition mode and auto answer of calls when you picked it up.

Fourth, the touchless command is only a natural step for them to take. It would make sense while getting into the car and commanding your phone to turn blue tooth instead of finger taping it.

Last, The storage card was a throw in. There are people out there who want it. I just want my pictures on it just in case the phone bricks.

I'm going to focus on the hardware as I hope the software updates come with the Moto X and not X2!

    - Better camera sensor
    - Dedicated shutter button
    - Larger Battery
    - Wireless charging
    - 64GB option
    - Stereo speakers

Would be nice if they could get 1920x1080 screen, but would not like if the trade-off was significantly worse battery life

I have had phones with 32 gb storage and a 32 gb sd card and for me the 32 gb sd card really wasnt needed.
I dont put apps on sd card even when you can just my preference.
The sd card I guess would be an nice option for those who need that for music storage,Actually I keep most my music on usb stick and plug it into car radio instead of music on phone but I can see why others still like the sd card option.Photos dont relly take alot of space and all the important photos I take I send to my computer for safe keeping.
I Have had more Amoled screen phones then LCD .The only LCD phone I had was the Moto DX and it was hard to see in the sun light as well.My other phones were original HTC Incredible,Galaxy Nexus , S3 and Moto X all those have Amoled screens.
As far as A Moto X2 Im not in a hurry a year to see it would suit me fine although I can upgrade every 6 months and stay on unlimited data plan .In the meantime I am enjoying this phone tho.
