Active notification gone weird

Suddenly active notification isn't working. It doesn't come alive when I pick it up and the Gmail notification blinks fast and doesn't show the email when I put my finger on it. Any ideas? I did watch the windy days and I did change the Google+ URL address. I don't believe I've done anything else.

So I went to Verizon, they tried their bag of tricks, didn't fix problem. So home I went to do a FDR. That threat seems to have been sufficient. Working perfectly now. Go figure.

I surprised the vzw people didnt try a FDR.But good you got it fixed.

I think the problem might have been a night clock app that started doing something weird. There was an unusual battery drain and that was the culprit. Uninstalled it and the active notifications started working again.
