So while we wait for it to let us checkout, should I go with the 32 GB model instead of the 16 GB? I'll still have unlimited data so that is why I was going to go 16 GB and save $50.

Order page shows developer edition in Stock but then says out of stock when I process the order. This is the Verizon edition.

I was debating the same thing... Based on my HTC 8X usage I've only used about 50% of my available 16GB on that phone. I also never got more than 60-70% full on my Nexus 7. I may go 16GB for the extra savings. I'm not a big gamer and I stream my music via Google Music. If I stored video and games and music I'd go 32GB.

I have had the 32 GB GNex for 2 years now and I still have 20 GB left, and actually a good chunk of what I use are custom roms still on it, plus a few games that I really never play but haven't removed yet. I stream my music, too.
