You can side load the Google Play Edition camera app. It includes the Photosphere function. It's nice having it as a secondary camera app just for that purpose.

I got mine from here: LINK

I used THIS APP to install it. Just copy the APK file from your computer to your phone's root directory and this app will let you install with two or three taps.
