bluetooth connecting issues

I got a jvc cd player for my car that i had no issue connecting with my old htc phone for years now i try with the moto x it does not want to connect automaticaly whatever i try .
Is there a sugestion you guys have how to fix this?

Have you gone into the JVC menu settings and cleared your previous device(s) from it's memory? I have had similar issues with in-car systems in the past, although they were not JVC.

Maybe try this app? I haven't had any issues with my phone connecting automatically to my car stereo or any other bluetooth device though.
