Is the Moto X worth buying still or wait till next Moto release?

I'm liking the Moto X and strongly considering getting it either sometime this month if not next month. But i'm not sure if i should wait until the next moto release which im sure wont be too much longer. Thoughts?

Get it now. The next one probably won't be released until sometime in August/September. Still a long time away

I don't think the Moto X 2 will come in the next few months, especially since there is a purchase deal being sort out for the company. So I think later this year, so I would get the X now.

Moto X is not about large screen size, but overall form factor. Lenovo will let Motorola continue with its development approach.

At the sale price with coupon it is a no brainer to buy a Moto X now.

The Moto X2 hasn't even been submitted to the FCC yet. Last year the Moto X was approved by the FCC end of May and then released end of August.

Get it now. Phones seem to have a new release quite soon after the "latest and greatest" comes out so if you wait for the next Moto X to get one, you'll be asking if you should wait for version 3.

The successor to the Moto X likely won't be released until July, at the earliest. I'd get the Moto X now.

Buy now and start enjoying it. Otherwise, you'll always be waiting for the next new thing. Wouldn't worry about it. Its a great phone.

This phone is one of the best I've owned, all things considered.

Battery life is great, it has a nice balance of features without getting all bloaty, it fits nicely in the hand, the screen is (if small by my standards) bright and crisp and even usable in the daylight which surprised the hell out of me. I thought the transition from my 5.5-inch LG Optimus G Pro was going to be horribly painful, but I find myself going to the MotoX more and more (I still have the OGP as a mini-tablet).

The camera is nothing to write home about - it even feels like a step down in quality from my 8 megapixel HTC Thunderbolt. I hesitated over the 16MB memory on the model I could get and the lack of SD, but realized that I never used half the 32MB native to my OGP and eventually took the SD card out of it because it never got used. The non-replaceable battery makes this my very first phone without the ability to swap out batteries when capacity starts to dwindle, but time will tell.

So it's not all things to all people. But it is an awesome phone with very good battery life and features that are actually useful day-to-day. Twist the phone twice, camera starts up instantly. Ask it to send a text to someone or "Navigate me home" and it just does it. No fuss, no bother.

I say pick one up \o/ You'll never have a phone if you keep waiting for the next big thing... If you're OK with the basics of the phone like screen size, no SD, no removable battery etc. then you can't go wrong. It's a great phone!

If Lenovo messes with it too much (Which I doubt) then I'm guessing the X will achieve a cult like following for a time.

I would have said get it now a couple weeks ago but the Moto X has zero future with Lenovo. Wait a month or two and see what comes out. Nexus 5 would be the choice if your carrier can support it.
