Brief loss of connectivity after call ends?

Moto X, 4.4.2, ART, no root. When I end a call, the cell signal icon goes away for several seconds. During that time I have no connectivity. If I end a call and then try to dial another one during this period, I get something like a "no network" message. Not a big deal I guess, but I have gotten it a couple times if I (for example) call voicemail and then immediately try calling the person back. By the second try, the connection is re-established.

Anyone else noticed this?

Have you tried flipping back to Dalvik to see if ART is the problem?

Interesting. Yes, I just flipped back to Dalvik and no, it does not happen on Dalvik. I wonder what the difference is. This isn't the sort of issue I would associate with pre vs. on the fly compiling.....

I'll just stay on Dalvik for now.... never saw a real difference.

I have the same issue on my Moto X - loss of connectivity after call ends, and sometime even within a long call.
I am on Dalvik (always have been) running Android 4.4.2

I have the same issue and my phone has always been dalvik. It does not happen every call though just sometimes. Started when AT&T went to 4.2.2.

I also experience this. I figured the phone was just fighting for tower space.

I don't have this problem, my phone is completely stock running 4.4.2. I wonder if this is carrier related. I'm on Verizon.

I am on 4.4.2 with Verizon Moto X and have never had this issue. I've used both dalvik and ART

Same issue, but this happens intermittently and not consistently. It seems more likely to happen if I hang up before the other party answers.

I have a bone stock, unlocked Moto X running on AT&T.

Been wondering why this has been happening.
