Be warned. DONT BUY A MOTOROLA PHONE WITHOUT BUYING INSURANCE!!!
Monday 4-14
Phone screen went blank. Called Motorola and they said they would send a warrenty phone out 2 day air.
Thursday 4-17
Called inquiring tracking number. I was told that the package was ready for FedEx to pick up.
Monday 4-21
Still no tracking number. I was told again that package was waiting for FedEx to pick up. I questioned this and asked to speak to a supervisor. They asked for a callback number and told me they would contact me in 24 to 48 hours.
Tuesday 4-22
Tired of waiting, called back and demainded to speak to a supervisor. Was on hold for 30 minutes to find out nothing. The supervisor new nothing but promised to get some answers and call me back.
Wednesday 4-23
Received a call from the supervisor. She was still unsure why my warrenty phone has not shipped but thought maybe there was no supply left to send out.
Thursday 4-24
Still no tracking.
Was this a non-motomaker device purchased through your carrier?
I hit up customer service via online form over a week ago because my front face camera grommet has shifted. Within an hour I had 3 emails. 1 had an RMA number. 1 had a prepaid return label for my existing phone. One had a MotoMaker code to redo my phone.
On Monday I finally used my code. I checked online yesterday and it had been sent out. It's due to be delivered tomorrow. There is something going on that we aren't figuring out with all of these drastically different experiences. It seems like those of us that purchased directly from Motorola have had fantastic experience, and those that want the carrier root have gotten shafted. Motorola even sent me a discount code for accessories the day after I put in my warranty claim.
Motorola has been fantastic for me. They didn't even bother to put a hold on my debit card until they get my existing device back.
I just can't figure out the disparity.
