Pictures from txt messages go dark when opening

This may just be a problem when getting mms messages from iphones, not sure though. But when I open up the picture, it starts out, bright and normal, and then goes dark. Almost like it is being highlighted to click on. I've tried touching on and off the picture, to no avail. I get a little pencil at the bottom that does nothing. Any ideas?

This happens to me when I take photos as well. When I take the photo and I see the preview image its bright and when I actually click on it to go into the gallery and look at it closer it always becomes darker. I've always wondered why it does this

Ya I have same issue.

Seems to be a problem with the Gallery app. I replaced this app with Quickpic. Cleared Gallery App as default, and no more problems
