Damn. I live in Fargo (yes, like the tv show (and movie)) and I'm grateful for having 4g and now xLTE but damn I'm pulling like 7 down and 5 up. What the hell? Guess it's 'high speed' so I shouldn't complain

Are you sure that you are on XLTE and not 700 MHz?

Fargo, ND and moto x are on the list. That's what I was going off of. It's never been terribly speedy here

I work in an area where I can bounce around between three different towers depending on what part of the building I'm in, and it seems only one of them gives me higher speeds. (yet?)

Mark,

You really seem to know your stuff. I have a question I'm hoping you can help. I too have a Moto X Dev Ed on Verizon and cannot find a difinitive answer if it actually picks up XLTE. Motorola told me it did not. That only the non Dev Edition supported XLTE. If the DE does support it, is there a way to tell if its on band 4 or do you just go by the speeds?

Much thanks.

I was in the Seattle area last week. Decided to try a speed test. Got 77.2 down & 58.6 up! Smokin fast!

Posted via a beautiful Ebony backed Moto X or the amazing Nexus 10 using the totally awesome Android Central App

Easiest way is to go by the speeds if you're in an XLTE area.

I have 5 bars of LTE and I just did a speed test. 20mb down and 15 up.

Update: I just did another speed test from a different location and received 28mb down.
