No one knows for sure but the 4.4.3 build for your model contained all the same stuff as the 4.4.4 except the 01 bump in version number

That's not necessarily true....I believe there was an SSL bug patched in 4.4.4 which was not in 4.4.3

Right but as far as the Moto X goes meaning camera pauses during videos, moto alert app, etc. Bottom line it's incremental

I'm gonna have to agree with this. I have the AT&T Moto X on 4.4.4 (latest build) and my wife has the GSM unlocked Moto X on 4.4.3 (latest build) and aside from the status bar icons and the version number difference, our phones look and operate identically. Her phone is on the AT&T network too FWIW.

The link from hisense says my unlocked GSM from Moto will get the 4.4.4 update, but so far it hasn't come through. And now Sprint is rolling out the 4.4.4 for their phones. I guess I should be happy to wait for the L update in the fall.

Any first number in an update: 4.x.x for example is a major OS update. This is where you will see major overhauls to the UI, experience, etc.

The second number: x.2.x for example is a minor OS update. You will see some small changes, but it will be functionally the same.

The third: x.x.4 for example is just patches/bug fixes. You will not see any UI changes. So while 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 look the same, they most likely have differences under the hood. Otherwise there would be no point in having the last number :p

I don't see them skipping 4.4.4 seeing as L is still a few months away.
