Touchless Control no longer "punches through" lockscreen

I might not be recalling the behavior of Touchless Control accurately but I could've sworn that the voice search screen and results for certain activities would be displayed despite having a PIN/pattern/password lock enabled.

For example, I would issue the following via voice and see...

"Ok Google Now"

- voice input/recognition panel opens

"What's the weather like today?"

Google Search/Now results page is displayed and a summary is read back aloud

...after a short period, the screen times out

At no point is the lockscreen displayed or disabled.

Has anyone seen this behavior? If so, is there any known fix for this?

I'm glad to hear I wasn't just imagining this. This was a really handy feature so I hope Google and/or Motorola can get this fixed.

I just tried it and it worked, with a PIN code enabled.

No luck here with a PIN lock...
