Moto X bands

Does anyone know why the LTE bands supported on the unlocked Moto X is different from the AT&T Verizon? If anything, shouldn't the unlocked version support more?

Motorola updated the specs listing to show more detailed info. The Pure Edition (XT1095) has LTE bands 02, 04, and 17. The ATT version (XT1097) has LTE bands 02, 03, 04, 05, 07, and 17. Would the lack of the additional bands in the Pure Edition crimp its capability in any serious way if used with the ATT network ?

I ordered the AT&T version and was kind of wishing I hadn't until the bands issue came to light. But to be honest, the pure edition would have been just fine for me, and when I got mine and had to start disabling all of that AT&T crud, believe me I wished I had chosen the pure edition instead. I think the pluses of the pure edition (no carrier bloat and faster updates) outweigh the negatives for most people.

Pure edition works perfect on the T-Mobile network, I even get better reception and data speeds than my note ii

It doesn't support the new T-Mobile band 12 however, which is a real oversight.
