Vzw TEP question

I bought a Moto X 2014 with 16gb from Motorola, but found it wasn't enough, so I sold it on eBay. I had TEP protection from Verizon on it.

I bought another 2014 with 32gb from eBay, and was wondering if you think Verizon TEP would protect this used phone..

They should your paying to insure your phone not that specific phone .... Last year I filed a claim and had no problem and the phone wasn't even mine I just activated it on my line

I buy my phones brand new, but unlocked and not from Verizon. I bought my last two Moto X's (2013 & then 2014) directly from Motorola, and my VZW insurance still covers them, I don't think they have a way of knowing if mine are used or brand new, so I'm assuming yours would be covered as well. You may want to call and ask them, just to be certain. I haven't had to file an insurance claim for either of my Moto phones.
