Bought new Moto X Play. Installed Motorola USB drivers. Can't see any files on the device. What is happening?

Bought new Moto X Play. Installed Motorola USB drivers. Can't see any files on the device

My Windows 7 PC automatically installed Motorola Device manager. It recognizes the device and can see the device on Explorer. On clicking the device, it shows a blank page -no folders, no files ,nothing. Down loaded and installed "Motorola USB driver from Android Central, and installed it. I see "Motorola Device Driver Installation 6.4.0" in Program & Features. It made no difference whatsoever.

What is happening? How could copy in/out pictures/videos/documents etc. to/from this Motorola mobile phone?
