On Verizon. If I get a Pure Edition, can I just pull the sim out of my Nexus 6 and use it on my same cell phone number without jumping through hoops for Verizon?

That's what I'll be doing from whatever device I have at the time. If there are any problems at launch it will be for: new lines or people who want the off-contract month to month discount.
