With so much hype about Moto X Style camera - can it take pics in RAW FORMAT?

if not, what could be the reasons? software related or hardware? do u think we can have it in a future OTA update?

what are the Android Phones that support RAW Format? - N6, LG G4, Note5 & S6 Edge+ any others that I have missed?

It's a software thing. Camera FV-5 Lite will capture images in RAW format.

    thanks for your comments

so does that mean Moto X Style / Play cannot take RAW Pics?

    * Requires Android 5.0+ and a fully compliant Camera2 implementation. Currently only LG Nexus 5 and Motorola Nexus 6.
** Requires Android 5.0+. Compatible as well on the Samsung Galaxy Camera (1 and 2), Galaxy S4 Zoom and HTC One (M8). On Android 4.4 or older, long exposures lowers picture resolution to 2 or 1 MP, depending models. The reason is explained here: Camera FV-5

The Moto X Style is not out yet so we don't know for sure if it has the Camera2 API. (my guess is that it doesn't)

Developers can only put down what's tested. Until they get their hands on the X, they won't list it.
