Is there a way to move the hotkeys on bottom around without having root on this phone?

As long as moto still allows bootloader unlock, you will be able to do whatever you want with a little work. I am sure the development will be pretty decent. The last 2 X's have not had a whole lot though sadly.

It's been a while since I've felt a need to root a phone. However, that will likely change with the XPE. I find, for me, moving the back button to the right side makes a HUGE usability difference on phones this size.
