Instead of saying out loud "OK GOOGLE" (or whatever ur hot word is), you just lift up the phone to ur ear and Google now will activate and you can ask it anything.

The point of this is to make it more private in both, asking the question and receiving the answer.
How do you turn it on or enable it?

Go into the Moto App, click settings, Actions, then Lift for Moto Voice. It'll explain how to use it and will give you the option to enable it

Does the notification light not work on this phone? I have the option turned on in apps, but I don't get the blinking light anymore for messages and such.

Yeah. Doesn't blink anymore. Maybe I've missed something I have to tap to turn them on but I have it set up right in the apps.

Yes the light is not used for notifications on this phone. Cannot be used as one either unfortunately

Keep in mind I don't mean the flash from the camera/flashlight. I mean the little led on the front that would blink different colors, like blue for Facebook and such

Yes we are talking about the same thing. The LED on this device is behind the top speaker grill and is not accessible by apps. It only works when it is charging in a specific case that I can't remember. It's a single colored LED and will not display notification colors

This phone does not have a notification LED. Moto Display is the replacement.

I think you'll be able to use the LED as a notification LED for apps if you're rooted but this is not an option for the stock system.

Thanks for the heads up folks, glad to know I'm not crazy. I just discovered that the phone is not syncing with my TV or chromecast. Very weird.

That's weird. I'm watching a movie using that very method while typing this.

Yeah it's weird. Although issues I've had have cleared up, almost like the phone is sentient and learning

I use the ihome clock radio docking unit, and the sleep app that works with it. Since getting my new phone I've noticed that when using the app the alarm volume on the phone goes to max. I've tried adjusting it, and the settings in the app. Any thoughts as to what's up?

It is possible. But even though. I have big hands it is not possible to touch a target at opposite edge of screen with just one hand. So, I would say it is not ideal for one had operation for sure.

Anyone having issues with smart lock? I have it set to work with my headset, home, and on my person. Usually between the last two I don't have a problem. I'll have an issue where I'm home and don't touch my phone for awhile, and it locks. Lately though my alarm hasn't been going off. Keep in mind I'm using the ihome app. As soon as I unlock the phone the alarm goes off. I think the lock is blocking the alarm but it was working fine before

I know this question was asked some time ago, but the MXP is much less prone to rocking on a flat surface than my previous LGG4 with the stitched leather back.

Excellent. I've never dropped a call on Sprint's HD voice.

I have only had this phone a few months. I updated to 6.0 a few weeks ago and now my phone is quite unstable. I have bluetooth issues with my blu parrot headset and lincoln sync. For some reason my ring tones even change on their own.

I have to say I really like my phone, but smart lock is terrible. The only one that really works, is the on body detection.

I still love this phone but going from lollipop to marshmallow, my on screen battery time went from well over 4 hours to nearly 2.5 hours. Same usage, same apps, same places of travel....sucks
