Flat yes...but beveled on the edges.

My 2 year old Nexus 5 has a curve to it now. It's not too noticeable just holding it but set it screen down on a flat surface and it's definitely there.

That being said I don't really have any adverse affects from it and the phone doesn't seem to suffer from it. Good luck with yours!

Put the phone face down on a flat surface to see if it's really bent. The curved back gives the illusion that the front is curved, but it's not.

I'd be a little shocked if you were able to bend it. During last year's "Bendgate", a guy did videos bending phones. All others had some give, but the Moto X didn't even make a creaking sound. I would assume the Pure is of similar build quality.
