How did last year's Moto X deal work? I thought I read they had some kind of an invite system for it or something? Just want to make sure I'm prepared if they have something this time :)

You had to sign up for a promo code.

Did you need to be registered ahead of time or was there a form there day of?

Thanks for the response!

The offer was announced several days before and once live you went to some link on the Motorola page. After filling in email information you were sent the offer code. My experience went smoothly.

He's talking about how last year's promo worked. I imagine future promos will work the same. Don't worry, it will be well publicized.

Just go onto the Motorola site and register your email for any offers they have and I can assure you they will contact you :)

Not sure the price is so low. Costs them peanuts to make these. (I'll need at least $100 off to pull the plug).
I'm content with my Moto X 2014 - so will see what they offer.

Last year, it was $140 off, which brought the price from $500 to $360. Since this year it's already only $400, I'm guessing it'll be somewhere between $50-$100 off.

I just saw that on Moto's site as well, but that doesn't make sense to me. Why is the 2nd gen one down from $399 to $299? Were they selling the 2nd gen Moto X for the same price as the Pure? I wonder if that's supposed to mean the pure.

This whole thing doesn't make any sense. The first gen Moto 360 doesn't cost $299 either, the new one does, and same with the Moto G, the cost of the current one is $179. The prices here are the prices of the current gen devices, but the names of the devices are the last gen ones. Something is screwed up.

Not surprising. Already a good price.

Many of us don't think it is a good price... Needed at least $100 off. Their sales will suffer imho. At least they are losing one sale from me by not offering a cyber Monday discount on the Pure. I'll just hang on to my 2nd gen... I'm pretty sure many people will do the same as so many of us were waiting for that discount. As their sales of the Pure stagnate the price will in fact come down.

It's odd because $299.99 is the current price for the second gen.

There's no way these are the correct deals. Something is screwed up on the page. The non-discounted prices are all the prices of the current devices, not the last gen prices.
