Google now question

Hi all,
The wife got the new moto X pure, how do you remove the say "ok Google" bar from the home screen?

If you don't use Google search at all, you can disable Google search in your applications manager.
If you want Google search but don't like search bar there, you can install another launcher.
I have always use Nova Launcher.

Ya, kinda thought that. Thanks for the reply.
Strange, my galaxy S6 gives me the option to remove it from the home screen.
Nova launcher is pretty awesome but the wife is not real tech savvy but she does use Google now.
I think I'll give it a shot, she may like Nova.
