    Hi everyone!

Yesterday when walking through the rain, I unfortunately dropped my Moto X Pure Edition in a puddle and after picking it back up, half of the screen was covered in a purple static. The touch screen behind the static still works, however, the display is still messed up. I tried placing it in dry rice for 24 hours to no avail. My phone is older than one year, so the warranty would not cover the damages. Has anyone else had this happen to them and could assess the damage and possibilities for repair? Thanks!

Within a few minutes after dropping a device into water (unless it's water-resistant), enough chemicals from that water get into the phone to destroy it. Sorry, but there's nothing you can do to save it now. (Placing a wet device in dry rice is the second worse thing you can do - charging it while it's wet is the worst.) Read Oh, no! My Phone got Wet!

After 3 days my phone actually went back to normal with no noticeable problems! A very strange case.
