I like it. It's not gargantuan.

Does anyone have an idea of the PPI on this?

I guess we will know soon enough.....
It depends on the screen size. Assuming it is a 720 screen (1280x720)...

4.3" = 341ppi
4.5" = 326ppi (iPhone 5)
4.7" = 312ppi
4.8" = 306ppi (Galaxy S3)

What's that little black circle on the top part of the phone? IR blaster? 3.5 mm jack?

It looks like 3.5 mm jack if you take a closer look.. Its actually a hole instead of a black dot on top of the phone

Can anybody tell what kind of material that is on the back? Is that plastic or something else? To me it looks a bit similar to the material used on the back of the Nexus 7.

Looks like textured plastic or maybe even white carbon fiber. The photos with the black back look like matte plastic.

Definitely textured plastic or carbon fiber looking plastic, as real carbon fiber cannot be made in white. Might also be Kevlar.

If it's plastic I most definitely won't be interested.

I know nothing about carbon fibre but I do like Kevlar.

I don't understand the beef w/ plastic. Don't most people put a cover on their phone anyway?? I know some won't and maybe that's your style but the second I buy a phone, I'm looking for a case for it. Now if you just like bumpers, I could get it but the way this phone is contoured, I don't think bumpers will work.

This is 2013, not 2012. We are living in the 1920x1080 age. Assume 1080.

Or is this supposed to be an entry level phone ???

Even still. ~300 should be enough. Sure, people say they notice it now but the 1080 vs. 720 spec isn't as relevant - unless you're just measuring for the sake of measuring.
