I'm on my first charge today.

54 percent left on battery..

2hrs 44 min on screen. I'm clear to get 5+ hrs screen time. I'm loving it!

Definitely should take the phone back..

All the reasons I opted against the g2. I wanted a dope phone without having to root it.

Ditto and I am loving it. The nexus 5 is going to be a monster. The moto x is perfect in size. Although if the nexus 5 was smaller I would be all over it.

Since, obviously, you like Android, please just try a replacement phone. Get them now before they make them reconditioned by calling AT&T warranty. In my opinion, I think the G2 and Z1 are better, but since you like the phone besides the battery, try a replacement.

I went to AT&T, they said they can not service it, since it was a custom job. I called Moto, they said that AT&T reports battery usage and bugs from our phones to MOto, and they looked up my phone, and said that my battery showed good. They told me to do a factory reset and wait a few days.

They also said I had Vevo and Flickr installed, I don't have either of those. The level 2 specialist was clearly an iPhone guy who had no clue how Android worked, he didn't know what screen on time was.

Luckily, they AT&T store is closed. I did the factory restore, but there is not way to return it tonight. It's going back tomorrow.

Got my Verizon Moto X tonight, been setting it up and messing with it while watching football. 99% on Wifi as a result and as the 2nd picture shows, almost all of my standby time is actually screen on time, since I've been downloading apps, setting things up, and overall messing with the new phone. 2 hours 50 minutes at 50% battery lol, I'll take that any day. I'll try LTE in the city on Sunday and report back.

I called back, and got an actual android guy. He had me download an app, and took control of my phone. It drained 5% downloading 5 apps. As it turns out, my battery is actually bad. They are setting up an RMA to send it back. Bad thing about non removable battery, if it is bad, it needs to go back.

Since it was made with Moto Maker, it needs to be sent to Moto. No phone for me for a week.

If you are having low screen times, you might actually look in the screen settings to see how much time you are spending in various levels of brightness. If you are frequently using the phone in bright environments you would get much lower screen times. If that's the case you might take a look at the app lux. The auto brightness frequently makes my screen brighter than it needs to be. Lux let's you customize the brightness levels to your taste and it has always saved me a fair bit of battery on my phones.

That sucks that you'll have to go a whole week without a phone, but hopefully the replacement will live up to your expectations.
