So, I have already dropped my phone. I was, however, surprised to see so many chips on the bezel that sounds the screen. It seem that this is an exceptionally fragile part of the phone. Anyone else noticed this? Is it possible to replace only this part of the phone?

You dropped, now notice many chips... cdahncke, your post is a mystery and me being a newbie I figured I'd pay the price to reply, but it sounds like you treat your phone pretty rough, is the bottom line. Rather than replacing the upper bezel, it sounds like you need to run a case on what you carry. Problem solved, otherwise, problem continued, even if you replace the bezel...

Purchased a holster where the phone clips into it. I knew when I got it, it was going to be a bad idea. So, I ordered another style. Day 2 with the Seidio holster and my shirt was between the phone and holster and I didn't realize it. As I reached forward it popped the phone out and onto the blacktop.

I never dropped my phones before. However I have dropped my X twice. Both on pavement. Surprised me though because the screen never even scratched let alone break. The bezel is chipped a little but not as bad as I thought it would have been.

I caved and bought a case and I really like it.

Reveal Case for Moto X by Griffin feels and looks great not to mention it doesn't add bulkiness to it which I hate.

Why is it a mystery? He's just asking people's experienced the same if their phone had a fall. Obvoiusly someone had a different experience when their phone was dropped so turns out, no, it may not be particularly fragile part on this phone. And dropping ones phone doesn't mean you treat it rough, it just means a person dropped their phone. dear lord.

I agree just because you drop your phone doesnt mean you treated it rough ,, accidents do happen.
However if like you dropped your phone a dozen times in one day I would perhaps consider it rough treatment.

so far no drops for me with this phone, hopefully I didnt just jinx myself tho , ha

    Edit
Thats why I love the Moto X I can just stick it in my pocket no holster need.
I have had bad luck with holsters on other phones in the past getting snagged on stuff(seatbelts) or clothing getting in the way.It almost cause me to drop one the same way you did once.

On a flip side to my earlier post and keeping with the current flow of the topic, my wife destroys every phone she has. It isn't because she's rough with it or careless with it. She's just a self described clutz!

Life happens is all I'm saying. Is what it is, no point in making things more than they are.
