Changing Back Cover?

Is it possible to buy and change the backs on the Moto X? I'ld like to buy a new back cover, have the white on order and just know being white it will probably get dirty. Maybe even buy one of those wood covers and put it on myself.

I was under the impression that the covers were not easily removed. I could be wrong though.

yes, iFixit has the tear down and you can buy the tools from them.

A poster on this forum did it with a wood back he purchased off of ebay and used a guitar pick and a rice filled sock to do it. You need to watch out for the flash cable. Check out page 20 of the thread below:

I am sure we will see more of the wood backs on ebay soon but if they don't come with a lens cover, you need to take the one off of your original back and use it but there are no instructions on how to do that.
