Why does screen rotate always fail?

Ok so I'm a bit frustrated, I have to reboo my phone at least once a day to get the screen rotate to rotate. I'm on 4.4 still with AT&T. Is it a bug with it?

I'm pretty sure the Moto X released with 4.2.2
Anyway, have you tried clearing the cache partition in recovery mode?

Oops meant 4.4 But yeah AT&T hasn't gotten 4.4.2 yet so I thought it may be a bug

It could be just a bug with your phone. Haven't seen anyone have this issue before
To boot into recovery: With the phone off, hold power and volume down for a few seconds. Then use volume down to scroll to "recovery" and use the power button to select it
Then do the same to wipe cache partition
