Moto X (2g) Verizon update problems, why has my battery life been cut in half?

My Moto X updated via Verizon about a week ago. Since then, battery life is about cut in half and stupid thinks like the play store work erratically as it believes background data is disabled - it isn't.

What forum is the right place to discuss this?

I did at least 2 cache wipes before mine calmed down and stopped being awake for most of the day. Out of like 13 hours, it would be awake almost 12 of them. It's normal now.
