Question about Moto Apps

I'm new to Motorola / Lenovo and haven't used Android for a long time. I've been trying to set up my phone and was doing some playing around with the Moto apps. The Moto voice sounds interesting especially since it reminds me of Cortana for Windows phones. So I went through the setup process, however I have been unable to get the phone to respond. If I read the moto explanation correctly all I should have to do is speak my phrase and what I want and the phone should respond. Am I missing something?

Try resetting it up mine works perfect

Mine works as well. Try something as simple as " hey Moto Z". That's what I did and now I just say " moto Z " and she awakens. It's great for responding to texts while driving as it detects when you're rolling somehow. Now I'm no longer guilty of texting and driving lol

Dconn1975, that's funny cause that is exactly what used.
Update: it's now working. I turned the phone off last night and when I turned it on this morning it seems to be working correctly. Must have just needed a reboot

I use Hello Moto Z as my phrase. Haven't had any issues using it.
