    Holy crap........THANK YOU

EDIT: Just looked through my cables. Dont have any but this had me wondering at first. CHOETECH is so far all I have. And one that came with the verizon usb c fast charger. Going to stick with these for now. But very glad you shared that.

Think it should be a sticky so people see it sooner?

I also use my MXPE 25w charger with my Moto Z Force at the office with a Tronsmart adapter at the end of the cable. I get a charge rage between 1300 and 1500 mAh.

However, that was after I cut a notch out of my Verizon bumper case so the cable could fully connect. Before that, if I could get the charger to work at all, it wouldn't do better that 400. The bumper case also gave me trouble with the supplied charger that came with the Moto Z as well.

I'll have to try again. I was getting pitiful output or the adapter is junk.

The thing to note is that the cables have a memory - if you charge a higher voltage USB C device, it can stay at that voltage for the phone. If you don't have other devices, it should not effect you - still you should get them replaced.

Confirmed with this combo - USING THE USB C to C - you get turbo, with the A to C you get around 1400 mA

Yup. Was just about to post.

    C to C: Turbo
    A to C: Normal

    (A isn't doing 5V/3A)

I got this car charger: Silipower 3-Port 47W USB Car Charger https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HT7QZZU...cUvbUpU5388994

It gets the Turbo toast message.

I use it with his cable: CHOETECH USB-C to USB-C Cable (3.3ft/1M) for USB Type-C Devices https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017W2RWEK...cUvbUpU5388994

This charger will pop up showing Turbo charging. I have bought from them for years without any issues. It charged between 1340 mA and 2210 mA. The cable was a recommendation from Ry.

..hm. Looks like the USB-A port is also 5V/3A (5.2V/3A). I wonder if we'll be able to get Turbo Charging with a USB-A to USB-C cable.

Also, it looks like it's 3A total so you might see some slowdown when charging another device.

I can try it tomorrow and see.

Had to fill a honey do shopping list so decided to try it out. It dropped to 1000 when I connected my Force and Turbo plugged in but still said turbo on the Force. It only showed about 750 using USB A to USB C cable.

Decided to test it and see.

Anyone use this? I spent 30 bucks on different cables to realize qc 2.0 or 3.0 are NOT the same as Motorolas turboCHARGER. Then I found this thread. Anyone use this car charger? What about another home charger recommendation that'll work with all these dumb type a to c cables I'm stuck with?

Don't worry many of us did the same things. I still use whatever chargers I have around, even the original turbo charger.

No they don't charge as fast but fast enough. Not going to spend money on charging bricks to charge 30-40% faster than what a QC 2 and QC 3 brick already does.

For the car I use a couple of QC 2 chargers that are use A to C. They work just fine.

I may agree and 1500mah charging rate is ok. But because the phone is capable you always want the fastest. What did we do prequick charge lol. Or I'll spend another 15 for just that car and have that and the OEM. The rest will be good enough around the house.
