The Z-line seems to be getting security patches in a more timely manner.

Well, in contrary to what Moto said when the Z was announced;

"However, because of the amount of testing and approvals that are necessary to deploy them, it’s difficult to do this on a monthly basis for all our devices. It is often most efficient for us to bundle security updates in a scheduled Maintenance Release (MR) or OS upgrade."

The Z seems to be receiving security patches on a monthly basis.

Sure, it's not as fast as some others, but according to users on XDA and others, the Z, Z Droid and Z Force Droid are currently on the March patch, after receiving February and January.

This is a welcome change of pace, and I hope this continues to pick up.
