Slow USB transfer PC -> Moto Z

Hi,

Today I tried to transfer 140 small MP3 files from PC (Linux Mint) to Moto Z over USB 3.0.
1. Connected USB to both PC and Moto Z
2. Seleted "Transfer file" in phone settings for USB
3. On PC I opened target Moto Z folder in normal file explorer
4. Selected 140 files and dragged & dropped them to target Moto Z folder

~100 files copied fine though speed was much slower then I usually expect from USB 3.0 connection. After that copying slowed down to bytes per second and never finished.

Questions:
1. How to make USB 3.0 speeds between PC and Moto Z? I used USB 3.0 cable provided to my Lumia 950 and it works very fast with Lumia but not with Moto Z.
2. Why can't I copy more then 100 files at once?

Was the USB port you used on your PC a 3.0?

Yes, the same port is lighting fast when I copy files from Lumia 950

BTW, I managed to copy files by installing ftp server on my phone but is is paintfully slow. FTP is slow

Have you tried installing Moto drivers? That may help speed things up a bit.
