The first generation Moto Z phones now have official support from Motorola. They have kits with tools and parts for replace batteries and screens. The battery replacement for all 3 first generation Moto Z phones is just $39. For more information see iFixit blog.

That's nice, but if the screen is glued and you haven't done a few of them, I'd pay iFixIt to do it. A battery is one thing, a screen is a totally-other thing.
