Question about car charging

Does anyone know if the only way to charge the Tumi battery mod is with the turbo charger? I've tried plugging into my trucks USB outlet and it will only charge the phone and not the mod. Just wondering if anybody would know why.

So u have just a regular USB C charger? If so it will probably charge the battery pack after the phone is fully charged. With the turbo car charger it still waits until the phone is charged a good amount before charging the battery pack. This holds true for both the incipio and tumi power packs (I have both)

The battery mod won't charge until the phone is fully charged up first, regardless of the charger. Depending on the wattage of the charger, it may take a while to begin charging the mod. If you get the wireless battery mod, it can charge separately wirelessly.
